Privacy policy
Protecting your personal data is particularly important to us. We therefore process your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, TKG 2003). In this privacy information we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing in connection with our website.
Contacting us
If you contact us via the form on the website or by email, the data you provide will be stored by us for a maximum of one month for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.
Cookies
Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your device by your browser. They do not cause any damage.
We use cookies to make our services user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. They enable us to recognise your browser on your next visit.
If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.
If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of our website may be limited.
You can change your settings at any time:
Use of Google Analytics with anonymisation function
On our site we use Google Analytics, a web analytics service of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043 USA, hereinafter “Google”. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and thereby enable an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by these cookies, such as the time, place and frequency of your website visits, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google in the USA and stored there.
We use Google Analytics on our website with the extension “gat._anonymizeIp”. In this case, Google shortens your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, thereby anonymising it.
Google will use this information to evaluate your use of our site, to compile reports on website activity for us and to provide further services related to website and internet use. Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required by law or where third parties process this data on Google's behalf.
According to its own statements, Google will under no circumstances associate your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being installed by adjusting your browser software settings accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of our website to their full extent.
Google also offers a deactivation add-on for the most common browsers, which gives you more control over what data Google collects on the websites you visit. The add-on tells the Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js) that no information about the website visit should be transmitted to Google Analytics. However, the Google Analytics browser deactivation add-on does not prevent information from being transmitted to us or to other web analytics services we may use. You can find more information on installing the browser add-on via the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
Data processing is based on the statutory provisions of Section 96(3) TKG (Austrian Telecommunications Act) and Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (f) (legitimate interest) GDPR.
Our concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is to improve our services and our website. As the privacy of our users is important to us, the user data.
Information on the newsletter and consent
You can subscribe to our newsletter via our website. For this we need your email address and your declaration that you agree to receive the newsletter.
In order to provide you with targeted information, we also collect and process voluntarily provided details on your date of birth, address and telephone number.
Once you have signed up for the newsletter, we will send you a confirmation email with a link to confirm your subscription.
You can cancel your newsletter subscription at any time. Please send your cancellation to the following email address: info@feelgoodstudio.at. We will then promptly delete your data relating to the newsletter.
With the following information, we inform you about the content of our newsletter as well as the registration, sending and statistical evaluation procedures and your rights to object. By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive it and to the procedures described.
Content of the newsletter
We send newsletters, emails and other electronic notifications containing promotional information (hereinafter “newsletter”) only with the consent of the recipient or a legal permission. Where the content of the newsletter is specifically described when signing up, this description is decisive for the users' consent. Otherwise, our newsletters contain information on yoga, holistic health and events, particularly in the field of yoga and TCM, as well as on the Feelgoodstudio. (This may include, in particular, references to blog posts, talks or workshops, our services or online presence.)
Double opt-in and logging
Registration for our newsletter takes place via a so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after signing up you will receive an email asking you to confirm your registration. This confirmation is necessary so that no one can sign up using someone else's email address.
Newsletter registrations are logged so that the registration process can be proven in accordance with legal requirements. This includes storing the time of registration and confirmation, as well as the IP address. Changes to your data stored with MailChimp are also logged.
Use of the mailing service provider “MailChimp”
The newsletter may also be sent via “MailChimp”, a newsletter distribution platform of the US provider Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce De Leon Ave NE #5000, Atlanta, GA 30308, USA.
The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in this information, are stored on MailChimp's servers in the USA. MailChimp uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. According to its own information, MailChimp may also use this data to optimise or improve its own services, e.g. for the technical optimisation of sending and displaying the newsletter or for economic purposes, to determine which countries the recipients come from. However, MailChimp does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to contact them itself or pass it on to third parties.
We rely on the reliability and the IT and data security of MailChimp. MailChimp is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and is thereby committed to complying with EU data protection requirements. We have also concluded a “Data Processing Agreement” with MailChimp. This is a contract in which MailChimp undertakes to protect our users' data, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its privacy provisions and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view MailChimp's privacy policy here.
Registration data
To sign up for the newsletter, it is sufficient to provide your email address.
Optionally, we ask you to provide your first and last name. This information is used solely to personalise the newsletter. We also optionally ask you to provide your date of birth and gender. We use this information only to tailor the content of the newsletter to our readers' interests.
Statistical surveys and analyses
The newsletters contain a so-called “web beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from MailChimp's server when the newsletter is opened. As part of this retrieval, technical information such as information about your browser and system, as well as your IP address and the time of retrieval, is collected. This information is used for the technical improvement of the services based on the technical data, or the target groups and their reading behaviour based on their retrieval locations (which can be determined using the IP address) or access times.
The statistical surveys also include determining whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked. For technical reasons, this information can be assigned to individual newsletter recipients. However, neither we nor MailChimp aim to observe individual users. Rather, the evaluations help us recognise the reading habits of our users and adapt our content to them, or send different content according to our users' interests.
Online access and data management
In some cases, we direct newsletter recipients to MailChimp's websites. For example, our newsletters contain a link that allows recipients to view the newsletter online (e.g. if there are display problems in the email programme). Newsletter recipients can also correct their data, such as their email address, afterwards. Likewise, MailChimp's privacy policy is only available on its site.
In this context, we point out that cookies are used on MailChimp's websites and that personal data is therefore processed by MailChimp, its partners and the service providers it uses (e.g. Google Analytics). We have no influence on this data collection. You can find further information in MailChimp's privacy policy. We also draw your attention to the options for objecting to data collection for advertising purposes on the websites http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ and http://www.youronlinechoices.com/ (for the European area).
Cancellation/withdrawal
You can cancel your subscription to our newsletter at any time, i.e. withdraw your consent. This also ends your consent to it being sent via MailChimp and to the statistical analyses. Unfortunately, it is not possible to withdraw separately from sending via MailChimp or from the statistical evaluation.
You will find a link to unsubscribe from the newsletter at the end of every newsletter.
Legal basis under the General Data Protection Regulation
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), applicable from 25 May 2018, we inform you that consent to sending to email addresses is based on Art. 6(1)(a) and Art. 7 GDPR and Section 7(2) no. 3 and/or (3) UWG. The use of the mailing service provider MailChimp, the carrying out of statistical surveys and analyses and the logging of the registration process are based on our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interest is in using a user-friendly and secure newsletter system that serves both our business interests and the expectations of our users.
We also inform you that you can object to the future processing of your personal data at any time in accordance with the statutory provisions of Art. 21 GDPR. The objection may in particular be made against processing for direct marketing purposes.
Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
